As the snow melts away and our temperatures rise, life here in Nozawa Onsen takes on a whole new vibe. The Local farmers are coming out of hibernation, getting a head start before harvesting season. While locals and visitors alike enjoy the best of both worlds – biking around town, sun-drying laundry, and hitting the slopes all in one day! Yesterday kicked off with some speedy races at Yamabiko A for day 1 of the FIS Nozawa Onsen Cup! Today expect some rainfall in town, with potential for snow up top later on!

Snow report ❄️
Possibly the last time for the season to have snow on the forecast, as the freezing level drops this morning to below 1300m, snow looks to fall throughout today and into this evening. Approximately 21 cm forecast to fall at the top. Temperatures to stay cold tomorrow with sunshine and light winds. Expect the same for the rest of the week and into the weekend with temps gradually warming and peaking Sunday. Fingers crossed we may have another opportunity to get the powder skis and boards out again. Stay Safe!
