Fairytale February day in Nozawa
Even after almost 30 seasons in Nozawa I still can’t believe how much the landscape can change here in the space of just a day. Another 22cm recorded since close of lifts yesterday evening. I am no mathematician but I figure that gives us close on 70cm of fresh snow within about 24 hours from this “Siberian Dream”! The base is now back up to 240cm this morning up at Yamabiko.

Yesterday was nothing short of amazing it just kept dumping all day, at times it would ease a little and you thought it was going to clear and then would just intensify again. With very few people about there were no lift lines and fresh tracks to be had all day. Thanks to all the folk who decided to stay home :). Lots of frozen faces laughing down the hill all day. Will cut the report short as today is going to be more of the same even better maybe! Gondola opens in 20 minutes have to grab a coffee and head up.
