February Snow Nozawa Onsen
Two Magic Feet are better then One!
Another 25cm of fresh snow reported overnight for Nozawa Onsen bringing the total so far of this snow storm to 60cm! Base now at the peak so far this season with 175cm up at Yamabiko this morning. Still snowing pretty heavy right now down in the village so we should see that number increase a bit throughout the day! It is going to be a really awesome Nozawa style day on the slopes so don’t spend too much time on your phone and get up into the powder!

Temperature up top: -7 degrees
New snow since close: 25cm
Base at top: 175 cm
Snow conditions: Snowing beautifully and will be amazing conditions on the slopes
Weather: Snowing rest of today getting lighter in the afternoon
Yesterday was nothing short of superb on the mountain with fresh tracks all day and not too many people about to share them with! It snowed all day and pretty heavy at times, many of the seasonal staff and long term guests were very excited to see Nozawa back to it’s old self again. Will try and post some more photos later. Looking ahead and the scene is looking pretty perfect with snow – sun – snow on the cards. Should be pretty sunny the next few days then a good snow system coming in again from Tuesday night and again on Friday Night. The best thing about it is the temperatures are remaining cold so conditions should be sublime. Looks like February is set to deliver in Nozawa
