15cm of Fresh Snow overnight for Shiga Kogen!
Surrounded by a dreamy cloud in Nozawa this morning but we definitely got snow up top here overnight.
It was raining down in the village but on the web cams can see even Hikage a little higher got a dusting.
Shiga Kogen was the big winner with half a “Magic Foot” falling on most of the slopes there.
This shot from Kumanoyu Ski Resort early this morning but Ichinose and the other resorts would have been blessed too.
So have a great day anyone heading over there today or to Ryuo Ski Park on the shuttles.
The Forecast is looking really good now with the “ Big Chill” and more than 20 cm expected for Nozawa from tonight.
Then Friday’s system is now expecting 50cm plus so I would guess that the Lifts will open here maybe Wednesday or should think definitely Saturday at the latest if all that is expected arrives.
The Nagasaka Gondola is running again today and will be great fun for a play in the fresh snow at the top so head on up. The Mt Dock Gondola Cafe also opens today at the base of the Gondola so drop in for your morning Coffee fix and a treat. Can drink it while riding up on the Gondola.
