A bit of March Magic yesterday in Nozawa
OK so it wasn’t a huge dump or anything, just a dusting but it freshened things up and with the “frozen broccoli” up high and a bit of sun made for a great day on the slopes. Not crowded at all but lots of families about making the most of the conditions. We stayed high all day so not sure on the bottom but from Yamabiko down to Paradise was lots of fun. Here is a bit of footage from Uenotaira, always a nice mellow way to start your day in Nozawa.

Snow conditions: Should be nice from mid way up again today and may see some snow falls this afternoon into tonight
Weather: Sunny start to the day but expect some cloud and precipitation later
The forecast is still looking good on the snow front from tonight and the weather man is telling me we could get up to 40cm by Friday morning. The temps are sitting above freezing level at the moment so expect some rain in the village but should be snow up high. It is set to get colder tonight and into tomorrow with very strong North West winds bringing a bit of a Siberian storm our way.
Tomorrow could be a day for the brave but from Friday on we have a few sunny days on the cards. Will be great skiing for the kids so if they are on holidays bring them up as lots of availability at the moment and cheap skiing for the little ones.
