A bit of a break in the snow here this morning after it snowed most of the day yesterday. It was heavy at times and the resort reporting another 10cm of fresh snow for the top overnight. Almost no wind this morning and with the clearer skies and fresh powder remaining it should be an awesome day on the slopes. Yesterday was pretty amazing especially up high early with abundant powder for everyone. It got a bit sticky down low later funnily but the top remained good. Starting with the consistent -6 degrees up a Yamabiko again this morning and looking like a magic day ahead. We should also get top up tonight with 9cm forecast.

Just some consistent light snow top ups of snow the next 4 days increasing on Friday ahead of what locals are calling “Big Saturday”. Check out the attached forecast, that Siberian freight train of a snow storm has jumped to almost 80cm now with Saturday night being the heaviest where we could see half a meter of snow fall across the resort. Winds also looking crazy for Saturday and some cold temps to endure but imagine how good Sunday will be! It will still snow a bit Sunday and then the sun is forecast to bloom on Monday morning. After that things will warm up a bit and finally some spring sunshine to look forward to. Exciting times to be in Nozawa. Stay safe, wax up the powder planks and have a great Tuesday on the slopes.
