🎄✨ Christmas magic is in full swing here in Nozawa Onsen! Across the village and up on the mountain, festive cheer is everywhere you look. Santa Claus is making his second round on the slopes today, carrying his big bag of presents—so keep your eyes peeled when you’re heading up! Yesterday was nothing short of epic, with many saying it was one of the best days of the season, shredding through waist-deep powder. The base is building fast, set to break 2 meters soon with another snowstorm arriving Thursday night. Visibility is great up there, and with sunshine forecasted around midday, conditions couldn’t be better! ❄️☀️

The snow forecast for Nozawa Onsen promises a powder-packed week ahead! Light snow starts Thursday morning, turning heavy by night and continuing through Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will stay cold, ranging from -4°C to -11°C during the day, dropping as low as -20°C at night! Winds will be moderate to strong, peaking Thursday night at 40 km/h, potentially affecting visibility and operation of some of the lifts. Today with the strong winds giving way, lifts and gondolas are running smooth. The snow base is set to exceed 2 meters with these consistent dumps, creating fantastic skiing and snowboarding conditions. Expect deep powder and cold, crisp days—an unforgettable winter adventure awaits!
