Yesterday as we thought was a great day for an Onsen and not much good for the slopes. The Gondola closed about 10am with the high winds and it rained all day pretty much.
It started to ease in the afternoon and no rain in the village this morning. The snow pack did not suffer as much as thought it might and we have only lost 5cm up top. The snow cams are showing it is pretty foggy up top at the moment but hopefully that will clear as the day goes on.
Then we have a few sunny days ahead for the weekend
The ski and snow board makers are running demo days up at Yamabiko for the next 3 days from today with all the new models available for a test ride!
