You can get a beautiful wooden cabin like Harvest House for the whole season for less than half price. For around 140,000 Yen or about $1850 a week it could be all yours. Normally it would be 455,000 Yen a week in any other ski season so it’s a bargain. The only catch is you need to take it for the whole season from mid December to the end of March. Nozawa Onsen a great town to spend a Season

Nozawa Onsen is a unique ski town even for Japanese people it is pretty special. With its quaint traditional feel, abundance of natural hot springs , amazing dining options and some of the best powder snow on the planet. It ticks all the boxes, so if you are in Japan or can get here give it some serious thought.

Here are some points to help with the decision;

If Living or working in Tokyo and can work remotely then not a bad office. Bring Family, Friends or Work pals
Everywhere has very fast internet with Hikari Optic Fibre throughout the village
Food is great value whether you are eating out or dining in there is so much fresh produce
Nozawa has 13 Free Public Onsens or Hot Springs to enjoy. Perfect after a hard day on the slopes
The new Nagasaka Gondola opens this season. The resort will also use Man Made Snow for the first time
Friendly locals and uncrowded slopes. This season could be like 15 years ago when there were very few overseas guests in the resort
You will probably have to be in Japan to take advantage of this but have heard some countries like Australia are granting exemptions if you stay away for more than 3 months but you would need to do the research
Total Cost for a house like they for the season is 2.1 Million Yen plus utilities. Works out pretty cheap with a bunch of friends or a family.
