A bit of March Magic in Nozawa
So far this March has been a bit light on for fresh snow but there have still been some beautiful days and the trees have been doing their frosty best on days like today. The day started of pretty cold with temps below Zero but a nice sunny and warm spring day now. Probably a good afternoon to have a beer up top and take the last run down. Always magic and so quiet on the slopes sliding down and enjoying the glow behind the mountains.

Very quiet on the slopes but we are still getting a few people booking in for the coming weekends. The locals have not moved on from Snowy pursuits just yet. Some blossoms starting to come out in parts of southern Japan. One of the Nozawa regulars from Osaka sent us a photo of the Ume or Plum blossoms which grace the land before the more famous Sakura or Cherry Blossom. They are pink in colour and in many ways just as beautiful.
We are probably still a few weeks away from seeing the Sakura here in Nagano but Kanazawa is set to start in a week on 25th of March. Nagano is being forecast for 5th of April and they are usually pretty on the money with the predictions. It is a great time to visit the area as can still Ski and check out the blossoms at places like Matsumoto Castle and Takato Joshi Park.
