Ski for Free in Togari Onsen this Weekend
For a few of the smaller resorts in the area this is the last weekend of Operation including our nearest Togari Onsen just across the valley. They are going out with a bang by shouting everyone a few days on the slopes there. Togari Ski Resort is well worth checking out whenever in the area. In other Onsen gossip I heard last night that Kijimadaira Ski Resort has sold to a Shonan Plastic Surgery operation and they will take over next season. Part of the deal they also got one of our favourite outdoor Onsens Maguse, which unfortunately rumour has it will close at the end of the month so get over there soon if keen to enjoy that view one last time.
Looking like another bit of a foggy day here in Nozawa. Yesterday was much the same so many guests took the chance to explore the surrounding area including the ever popular Kappa Sushi Train in Nozawa. Jules going for Gold again on the plate count.

Base at the top; 190 cm
Snow conditions; Hard pack early under the clouds and colder temps will soften
Weather; Cloudy with light winds and the fog may lift
🚡LIFTS IN OPERATION: All lifts operating except these lifts:
– Mizunashi triple
– Yunomine pair
– Karasawa pair
– Challenge pair (normally closed on weekdays)
– Utopia pair (normally closed on weekdays)
– Kandahar pair
🌄RUNS OPEN: All except Kandahar and Yunomine Slope A, Grand Prix and Hachiman is gone. More lower runs are starting to show wear and tear and may close soon

It’s going to get chilly again. Fairly flat line today hovering just above freezing but temps will drop into tomorrow and 15cm of snow still forecast from tomorrow afternoon up top. Light snow expected Monday and then the Sun is back from Tuesday on. Have a great weekend and try and support some of our smaller neighbour resorts when can.
