Another 60cm of fresh snow overnight for Nozawa!

The Snowy times just keep rolling for Nozawa and for some locals it is already too much snow! Cars and front doors are getting buried. Another “Two Magic Feet” overnight has fallen across the resort. Last year we only really shovelled the roof once in February, this year we need to get up there now and with another meter plus forecast from tomorrow night that could mean twice before Christmas!
Temp at the top; -11 degrees
New snow since close; 60cm again 2 days in a row!
Base at the top; 175 cm
Snow conditions; Fresh Deep Powder
Weather; Snowing still!
The Base up top was only 50cm 2 days ago, now it’s more than triple that!
Unfortunately all this snow has wreaked havoc with the lift system and it looks like both Gondolas are closed for the time being. But there is still some amazing skiing to be had on the lower slopes with all this powder and not many about, would probably head to the Hikage bowl!

Luckily it looks like we have a break in the snow tomorrow and may even see the sun! Just for the day, from tomorrow night we are back in the snow globe for another serious round of snow fall.
