Skyline Run Nozawa Onsen
This clip from Skyline a few days back looking its winter best. Still sunshine expected for the next two days ahead of the big dump from the 30th which seems to be intensifying as we draw closer. It may be crammed into 3 full on days now with some easing into the weekend.
The town is sure to liven up over New Years and with all this fresh snow but will no doubt be very quiet after the holiday except for the weekends. We really hope to see our overseas guests back next season in Nozawa.
Skyline run was already the longest advanced run in Nozawa and it got even longer a few years ago with the extension from Yamabiko down to the entry to Skyline. The resort put in a back entry point which connected the two runs and made it even more Thigh Burningly delightful!
I used to take 1 hour off for lunch it would take me 20 mins to get up and then often would just do one lovely run down Skyline and head back to the office. With the new Nagasaka Gondola shortening that time by half to get up will need to work out if can squeeze in 2 runs down 🙂
