What a difference a day makes in Nozawa

Base at top: 375 cm
Temp at Top: -5 Degree
Base at Uenotaira station: 290 cm
New snow since close: 20 cm
Weather: Snowing!

After yesterday’s little hiccup great to see the snowy and cold conditions return with a vengeance this morning. It started to snow late last night just as my head was hitting the pillow and has continued all day today, pretty heavy at times.

The resort is reporting 20cm but a few riders coming down the hill said maybe more with boot high plus powder in some spots . Temps are nice and cold too was -9 degrees early this morning and about -5 degrees now.

Winds are back to that favourable North West direction delivering the Siberian goodness to our doorsteps.

Snow Report Nozawa Onsen going forward

Looks set to continue the next few days with light snow and winds. A bit more snow expected Sunday then some sunshine at the start of the week before another system kicking in around Thursday. March is only a few days away and looking like should be a fun month to be in Nozawa with a huge 375cm base, very little people and some more fresh snow on the way. Consider coming up and enjoying the famous Nozawa Snow, Onsens and hospitality…
