The Mountains are calling
Yesterday was a magic day in the mountains. A few of the guys took off on a ski tour to explore some surrounding peaks. Greeted by Blue skies and Spring snow the perfect combination for a hike up and slide down. If you are thinking of venturing into the mountains it can be so beautiful but you need to know what you are doing, have the right gear and follow all the precautions. Waking to a very different day in Nozawa today with cloudy skies and light snow has just started falling up high. As expected the temps have dropped below freezing level and nice and cold. Probably won’t get a lot of new snow fall but the cool temperatures will help to freshen things up. Will we make it to the start of May and the Golden Week holiday?

Spring Ski Touring Nozawa Japan
With 270cm base think we will be fine for a while yet. It is still top to bottom in Nozawa but some lower south facing slopes are starting to show some wear and tear. A said before we normally get some good top ups in March but not a lot on the forecast at the moment. Temps should remain fairly consistent though so the base should stick around for a while.
