Lodge of the week in Nozawa Onsen “Takagi Lodge” Nozawa
Takagiya has just recently opened its doors to overseas guests and both the owners and the guests are really glad they did.
Mr and Mrs Mori with their extended family run a beautiful Ski Lodge in the heart of Nozawa Onsen Village. Their son also helps and works at the local JA Bank when not busy in the lodge.
Mr Mori is a real local character and although his English is only basic he will quickly strike up a conversation and a glass of Sake in the evenings. Mrs Mori will do everything she can to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable stay.
It is a traditional Lodge but has nice big Tatami rooms with good views, an open lounge room and big dining room. They also have mens and womens Japanese style baths in the building. There is a ski locker and drying room in the lodge or welcome to use the free Nozawa Holidays Ski Locker just up the road on the slopes near the Nagasaka Gondola
Ski Hire Nozawa Central
The location is great with the Shinden Onsen just 50m from the door and a flat 200m walk to the center of town. A beautiful Soba restaurant and local massage therapist right across the road. Lodge Nagano is also just up the hill if need any help with bilingual support staff available all day with anything you need and great info on everything to do in Nozawa Onsen.
