Trail Running Weekend in Nozawa
In just over two weeks time the hills surrounding the quaint village of Nozawa Onsen will come to life with the chatter of runners taking to the streets and mountains for The 4100D Trail Race. Quickly becoming a popular annual event runners from all over the land and world descend on Nozawa for a fun weekend on the 15th and 16th of July.
Reception will take place on the evening of the 15th and the main event starts from 6am on the morning of Sunday the 16th of July. Multiple grades and distances with 65km being the big one along wth 37km and 14km runs. The “Golden Trail Series” is a world series of trail running races where top athletes supported by Salomon compete for the preize. It consists of two series, the World Series and the National Series. Monday July the 17th is also a public holiday for Marine Day so make the most of the weekend and head up to Nozawa for a few days to take in the event or relax in the mountain air.
