Weekend Sun Fun Nozawa
Saturday Sun and fun in Nozawa
Yesterday was a ripper of a day on the mountain in Nozawa. Fun fact, “Rippa” is actually a Japanese word which means terrific! It certainly was Rippa out there yesterday with gorgeous sunshine all day, great snow conditions and those views! Coming off the Paradise chair and you really felt like you were in Paradise. Was very hard to leave that run as the views across to Myoko and Hiuchi mountains were fantastic and sitting outside the restaurants there in the sun was sublime.
Please feel free top post any photos you took yesterday and let us know how good a day you had.
The sun is buried under some cloud today so the views wont be there but the snow should be good under foot with out the sun on it.

The stats for the slopes today in Nozawa
Temperature up top: 0 degrees
New snow since close: 0 cm
Base at top: 205 cm
Snow conditions: Cloud cover should keep the piste in good condition
Weather: Cloudy all day things should keep reasonably cool
Was pretty busy up there yesterday and actually had to line up a bit, the first time in a while as the great conditions drew the crowds from Tokyo and further afield. We have had a lot of guests from further south of Japan this year as some of those ski resorts didn’t get much snow this season. Looking ahead and the next two days are going to be genuine Spring conditions in Nozawa with the mercury rising. Tomorrow Monday will be Sunny again with light south winds, Tuesday we may see some rain so probably a good day to do some sightseeing, maybe head to Nagano, Obuse or Kanazawa and check out something different.
