Winter Coming Nozawa Onsen
If you have any faith in the forecast this time tomorrow Nozawa should be a very different place. With a Northerly wind change expected this afternoon and 40km winds bringing in a serious Siberian express to our door. Has been a while since we have seen one of these systems line up and the forecast has been a bit unreliable but this close to the event we are quietly confident the Snow Gods will deliver! We are waking up under a sea of cloud in the village this morning but the web cams are showing it is nice and sunny up top. Still pretty warm with moderate South winds but the temps will plummet this evening with that wind swing from the North and the Siberian Storm should hopefully engulf us in a Snow Ball!
