Every Season Different Nozawa
2014 March Vs Now
These two photos taken at Uenotaira the top station of the Hikage Gondola 9 years apart almost to the day. The first one was 22nd of March 2014 the other just a few days ago. On that day in 2014 we had a base of 385cm and got a 40cm dump overnight. Every season plays out differently.
If missing these scenes and have not booked for next season now is the time. Head to the site for a quote; https://www.nozawaholidays.com/bookings/

Yesterday we had our warmest day this winter with the village over 20 degrees. It was super slushy up on the slopes but still fun when I did a few runs after lunch. Always nice to ski in a T Shirt too. Down low copped it with the warm weather. Expect more of the same today but with more cloud cover should keep things a little cooler.
🌄TODAY:

New snow since yesterday; 0cm
Base at the top; 210cm

FORECAST:
Every Season Different Nozawa
The good new is that things start to cool down from tonight and a T Shirt may not cut it from tomorrow. Rain and strong winds expected this evening, easing into tomorrow. Sundays snow is back on the menu with over 15cm forecast for the top. The good news is temps will stay cold for almost a week and sunshine expected to reappear on Tuesday.
So enjoy the Spring conditions today before the cool change sweeps in to Nozawa.
