Nozawa Onsen Snow Forecast Christmas Eve 24th December 2020
Sun Today, Snow Tomorrow Christmas Eve in Nozawa Onsen.
The sun is out today and will be a bit like yesterday with light winds and magic conditions on the slopes. Perfect carving on the almost completely empty groomers. Like all good powder junkies though we can’t wait for our next fix. Tonight should bring that with the usual 60cm or “Two Magic Feet” of fresh snow expected in a gift on Christmas Day! We have been good 🙂
Then a couple of days break before another Super Siberian Storm rolls in over the New Year. The forecast is saying we could get more snow than the snow storm last week that saw over 2 meters of fresh fall. Sorry Mo Chan you may need to stay on the roof and greet Santa this year in Nozawa!
That last storm we got starting one the 14th of December and lasting for a week we received a total of 212cm at the base probably close to 300cm up high. If you add up these figures above we get 236cm so thinking we should get the same or even more from that next storm if you include the Christmas Day present as well.
