Nozawa is not the only place in Japan experiencing a snow filled winter this year. Tokyo also got hit with its own little snow storm yesterday and 10cm of fresh was recorded. Always pretty special to see snow in Tokyo as it does not happen very often. This was the first decent fall in 4 years. 10cm in Nozawa is hardly worth raising the shovel for but in Tokyo it always causes a bit of chaos with transport from planes, trains to automobiles all in a bit of array amongst the city pow.
Back in Nozawa we had 6cm of fresh overnight with base sitting at 255cm up at Yamabiko. Temps are a chilly -10 degrees and still snowing lightly. Not a lot of snow on the radar for the next few days but another mega Snow storm set to arrive from Tuesday night with well over 1 meter expected. Enjoy a bit of sunshine the next few days and ideal conditions on the slopes.
