Last Day Season Nozawa
Last day of the Ski Season in Nozawa
Today Sunday the 7th of May will see the ski lifts in Nozawa Onsen roll for the last time this ski season! It kicked off on December 19th this year so almost 5 months later and we are brushing the seats off for the last time.
Check out the slopes at Yamabiko yesterday and also during the very peak of the season early February this year. Quite the contrast and well done to all the Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort staff for keeping the dream alive and managing the remaining snow to make it to the end of Golden week. Even when the mercury was hitting the high 20’s in the village.
It has gone down as a very memorable season in Nozawa and a huge Arigatrou Gozaimasu to everyone that made it up. Fantastic to welcome back all our amazing overseas guests again after a few years without them. The whole town was very grateful to see you again. Let us know if you enjoyed your time here.
Just 50cm of base remains up at Yamabiko. The snowy shot we had around the 300cm mark. Not our biggest season but let’s just say there was enough for everyone. The next ski season is now only 7 short months away and we look forward to welcoming everyone back again. Busy times are filling very fast so if thinking of coming, best to book now. We hope everyone has enjoyed our daily snow reports over the season and thanks so much for stopping by. Dont forget Nozawa is a year round destination and we are open for the beautiful “Green Season”too and will continue to post updates on all things Nozawa. For now signing off for the snow reports until probably November. See you on the other side. Arigatou Gozaimashita.
