The Nagasaka Gondola Opens tomorrow in Nozawa
Get on board!
This is the first Summer for the new Nagasaka Gondola and will give people a fast and efficient ride to the top of Yamabiko. You can even take your bike and your dog! Then it is a great ride down on the bike or stay up there and Explore Yamabiko and wander down to Lake Sutaka and the Camp grounds.
Remember it is usually about 10 degrees cooler up top than it is in the Village so makes for some beautiful conditions to enjoy some Green Season pursuits.
– The Gondola is open from 3rd of July until 31st of October 2021.
– Time from 9:00am to 16:00 and on certain nights it will also stay open until 21:30 for some Star Gazing!
– Cost; Round Trip is 2500 Yen or a while day with your Mountain Bike is 5000 Yen
– With glass on every side the views will be amazing

Bikes on Board in Nozawa – Gondola Open Nozawa Summer
The New Gondola is looking good and even better with your Mountain Bike riding on it. Lofting gracefully above the forest canopy to the top at Yamabiko. It would take quite a while to ride to the top but on the Gondola you can do it in just 8 minutes! The ride back down then feels a bit like you are skiing!
So get a single ticket, day pass or even a Season Pass and ride the gondola as much as you like until Oct 31st this year. Season passes are just 45,000 Yen for Adults and 27,000 yen for kids. We are doing some great long term stay deals too at Nozawa Holidays so you could have your own little Mountain Hut in Nozawa and ride the mountains everyday or even just most weekends. Take san and the team from Compass House have a great Mountain Bike Rental station set up in the Nagasaka Gondola Base station so drop in and grab a bike and just roll on to the Gondola.
