Hike the magnificent Shinetsu Trail from Nozawa – Join the team for a hike.

It’s that time of year, not long until the rainy season breaks and the fun of Summer in Japan is upon us. The nearby Alps of Nozawa are a great place to spend some of your time. Nozawa is within easy striking distance of the famous Shinetsu Trail.

The Shin-etsu Trail runs for an amazing 80 kilometres along the border between Nagano and Niigata Prefectures, following the path of the Sekida Mountain ridge. Beautiful trees and views of the neighbouring Ski Resorts like Madarao, Tangaram and Nozawa can be seen along the way. The terrain makes for a generally easy and comfortable walk.

We have are running a group to tackle the trail starting the 21st of July and would be great to have you join us. Based at the beautiful Nozawa Onsen we will set off for day hikes and return to the soothing Onsens and amazing restaurants of Nozawa at night. Here are the details of the Tour;
