Tamanegi House is a whole new type of construction for Nozawa Onsen. Designed and built by resident Swiss Ski Champion Gab Sutter and his wife Kyoko it is the best insulated and eco construction in the village. With it’s amazing views and warm wooden feel, Tamanegi is a unique property. It is just around the corner from Villa Nozawa, so you have all the support of the lodge with a very comfortable self contained Lodge.
Description
It is a duplex style, set up with 2 x 2 bedroom apartments, but would be best rented by one group so you have a 4 bedroom lodge with 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens.
It is a great set up for a couple of families or a group of friends with two x 2 bedrooms apartments one above the other in a duplex like set up so can be together in the same building but also have your own space.

Lower Apartment
Bottom room 2 singles raised futons, lower roof, good for kids with kids room too
Can possibly put more kids on the lower right side but best to stick to 4 people
Other room Bedroom is Double Bed
Upstairs Apartment
Master – Built in bed Queen
Other – 2 single raised futons can be double
Both apartments have their own bathrooms.
There is a drying room at the entry.

- High season prices starting from 100,000 Yen per night, sleeps 8 people
- Early March prices starting from 90,000 Yen per night, sleeps 8 people
- Off peak season prices starting from 85,000 Yen per night, sleeps 8 people

Free public hot springs housed in traditional buildings all round the village. Early check-ins: Please come to Villa Nozawa. You are more than welcome to leave your luggage (including ski and snowboard bags) with us until you are able to check-in.
Late check-ins: Let us know if you plan to arrive after 7pm and we will leave the door unlocked.

Office hours: 8am – 7pm
Please note: If checking-in before 7pm, please come to Villa Nozawa for a town orientation and to collect your lift vouchers as well as rental gear if required. If checking-in after 7pm, you can go directly to your accommodation.
Luggage Transfer
You can transfer your luggage from / to wherever you like in Japan. To send them to us (you will need to use the Villa Nozawa address) please write your booking names and your check-in date and we will take care of your luggage until you arrive.

Cash in Nozawa Onsen
Japan is predominantly a cash society, and it can be difficult to find places that accept cards as payment. Please ensure that you bring enough cash in Yen with you. You can exchange money at the airport bank, or before you leave home.
There are two ATMs in Nozawa Onsen. One is located next to the Tourist Information Office which accepts most bank cards. The other ATM is located just inside the Post Office glass sliding door, which is open until 6pm each evening.
