Blizzard to Bluebird Nozawa
From Blizzard to Bluebird in Nozawa – Base rockets to 215cm!
Hope you are up early today because it is going to be one of those magic days on the slopes. The past few days have been full blown winter with heavy snow and strong winds. The top lifts were on wind hold so all that powder is just sitting there waiting to be ridden. The base line has smashed through the 2 meter mark for the first time this year, fantastic to see. Winds have dropped to just 10km/h and the sun is rising over Mt Kenashi. Grab a cup of coffee at the Ski Locker and head up to the Gondola for an 830am start. Check out the web cams on the way up for some inspiration as you mind surf those lines; https://nozawa-onsen.com/nozawa-webcams/

☃️ SNOW FORECAST:
A bit of a southerly shift from this evening which will see temps not so cold over the coming days. Light winds and some light snow for the top should see some fun and comfortable skiing conditions and quite the contract to the Siberian tunes of the last few days. We may see some snow for the top from Saturday night but the next decent cold front forming from early next week and should bring some cold temps and decent falls to the region again. Until then pull out your favourite planks and get on up there, today is going to be one for the photo album.
