A beautiful Snowy start to the weekend in Nozawa
Waking up to some pretty snowfalls across the village this morning and the resort reporting a respectable 10cm of fresh snow up top. Will be a nice surprise for all the weekend guests that thought they were in for a sunny few days. Nice and cold too and with all the snow from the past few days and a 320cm base it is sure to be a fabulous day on the mountain.

A few people rolling in to town this morning but don’t think will be as busy as last weekend. The forecast still looks sunny for the next few days and a big jump in temps tomorrow before dropping again on Tuesday night. Enjoy the last weekend of February and a beautiful winters day in Nozawa.
January is always a popular month to visit Japan to ski. Probably because a lot of people hav holidays then. But February and even March can in many ways be a better time to ski in Nozawa and Japan in general.
Here are a few reasons;
- More established base, we often hit peak base in February or March
- We are at near a peak for this season right now at 320cm and February is almost done
- Less people it is a lot less crowded on the slopes and in Restaurants
- Deals we do some great deals at Nozawa Holidays in March and April
