Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 23rd March 2019 The official report shows only a single centimetre of fresh Nozawa Onsen spring snow today. However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to find that it’s a bit more as even got some at village level. Either way, a dusting is better than nothing. We’ve just seen a few pretty ordinary, rainy days. Despite that, we’ve heard minimal complaints. Either our guests are too nice, fewer people around make it worthwhile, or it could just be that spring skiing is too much fun regardless. Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 22nd of March 2019 Yesterday wasn’t the best day we’ve had all season. It was a bit too warm for the morning’s rain to turn into anything else. Likewise, it was a bit too windy for the gondolas. Having said that, it’s not like we haven’t been blessed with a truly Magic March this season! We’ve had many days like the one pictured above interspersed by a few sizeable dumps. It’s thanks to these big falls that the base up top is still a healthy one. Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 20th March 2019 More sun on the menu for today, ladies and gents. Magic March has given us all the great ingredients of spring skiing. There’s been sun, blue sky and a liberal dose of fresh powder snow. Today is shaping up to be another beauty. Temperatures will maintain a fairly high level on the thermometer throughout today and tomorrow. Whilst today is all about sunshine, the weather around tomorrow may fall as rain. Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 16th of March, 2019 Nozawa Onsen spring keeps turning it on! Only 3 centimetres recorded up top overnight but we’ll certainly add to that. There’s light snow at village level, slowly appearing to get a bit heavier. There’s a bit more on the ever-changing forecast. Still a base of over 3 metres at this stage in the season. Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 15th of March, 2019 What a day yesterday turned out to be! We awoke to a Magic Foot (and then some) of fresh Nozawa Onsen spring snow. The sky then cleared for a glorious bluebird day. Of course, being a Thursday in March, there weren’t too many people to share the runs with. A day like that simply cannot be beaten! Perhaps it can be equalled though. The forecast has changed a million and one times over the past few days but there does seem to be more than a handful more to come. Nozawa Onsen Spring Snow Report, 12th of March, 2019 We’ve been blessed with another brilliant spring day! But the great thing is that there is also some Nozawa Onsen spring snow on its way! Many people will tell you that spring skiing is even better than the powder days of earlier in the season. However, what if you could have both? We’ve had some brilliant sunny days of late but we also had a huge 60cm-plus dump. Could there be more on the way?
